I had the pleasure of creating the main interface for this casino game developed by Wayforward Technologies in late 1999. I modeled this device using Softimage and then created the texture maps in photoshop before I moved onto creating the 30 or so animations that were required. All in all, I spent roughly 100 hours on this one. Sample animations can be viewed by clicking on one of the links below:
This was actually the first area I created for this particular game project. I created all the models in Softimage and made the texture maps in Photoshop before I moved onto creating the 30 or so animations required for this scene. All in all, I spent less than 200 hours on this scene. Sample animations can be viewed by clicking on one of the links located under the "Pirate Ship" category directly below:
This was the second scene that I created for this project and was by far the most bizzare! If I recall, there were well over 50 or so animations for this one and I have included a few samples of them below (see "Carnival"). The great thing about working for Wayforward on this game was that they gave me a lot of freedom to spend the time I wanted so that I could refine everything according to my own satisfaction. I believe that this scene and all the animations included took almost a full month to complete.
I wanted to include this model of the main interface to show just how texture-intensive a project like this really is. As you can tell, not much time is actually spent on modeling but a whole lot of time is spent on creating textures and lighting (and then having to wait very patiently on the cpu to render of course!).

If these animation samples do not play
automatically in windows media player then you will need to
download and install the DIVX codec from
